Furne One at Dubai Fashion Week
Dubai Fashion Week made a splash this year with the latest designs for Spring/Summer taking to the runway in October.
Dubai’s hottest designers took part in the four day event alongside talent from Bahrain, Lebanon, Qatar and Egypt as well as India, Pakistan, London and Australia.
The closing show, The Red Dress Collection supported by Emirates Woman magazine, featured 43 pieces by this season's designers in red, which will later be auctioned off with proceeds going to Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs.
Earlier in the evening, Filipino designer Furne One commandeered what was undoubtedly the most well attended show of the entire season.

As attendees waited patiently, the first model walked to the middle of the catwalk in total darkness, suddenly lighting up in a vision of white light in what can only be described as a mesh of pipes, guns and bike mirrors.
Called It’s Alive, One said his inspiration came from a New York exhibition he saw recently featuring the works of avant-garde filmmaker Tim Burton, particularly his acclaimed Edward Scissorhands.
Both futuristic and gothic, One's army marched out in a series of masked avatars, each of the 33 dresses with luxurious embellishments, which has now become his trademark. Metals, plastic and sheer mixed together creatively in a palette of largely pastels and whites.

Huge padded shoulders were the order of the day as silhouettes of insects and aliens merged beautifully as they glistened to the beat of the eerie music.
Already a celebrity favorite with style stints for stars such as Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj, Heidi Clum One proved yet again why he is one of Dubai's most prized talents.
Furne One, the Dubai based designer and owner of brand, Amato Haute Couture, has never been in higher demand. Celebrated for his natural ability to craft extravagant and artistic designs, Furne has quickly made his way up the fashion ladder as one of the most hotly anticipated fashion designers on the global fashion stage.When asked about the keys to his success, Furne shares that it’s about diligence.
"It is hard work and diligence. But, you know, there are so many talented designers everywhere so I think you also need a little luck. Being in the right place at the right time, that’s how I was lucky," he said with a smile.
