Kate Moss is named as the new face of Mango

Modeling Mango new spring collection, Kate Moss is deemed as the perfect face for this fresh Barcelona based line. Moss now joins the likes of Olivia Palermo, Penelope Cruz, Claudia Schiffer and Scarlett Johansson for being the face of the brand.

Terry Richardson the photographer for the campaign has also directed the short movie "The Great Escape" for the Paris 2012 SS runway show.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Kate Moss, talked about the great time she has had being part of Mango Fashion and working with Terry Richardson “I’m really excited to be working with Mango for S/S 2012, we had a great time shooting the campaign, the team are so easy to work with and shooting with Terry is always fun.”

The new season MANGO Fashion trends include graphic contrasts between clean and unstructured lines.  As a variation to the cleanliness of lines, the collection has a clear 60′s influence, particularly in the dresses. Lightweight, pleated and gathered fabrics offer movement and present a fresh, flirty and feminine touch.  MANGO is also introducing a more casual line, bringing together ethnic elements and blending them with sportswear details to give a very simple, strong urban look. Tie-dye, abstract prints and patchwork in indigo and yellow tones with unwashed effects reinforce the casual appeal.

Since being a supermodel, Moss has shown her own personal style throughout her career. A bold mixture of hippie-chic and rocker comes to life through her everyday outfits and combinations for events. She loves to wear heels and pumps that elongate her legs creating a taller look. Blazers, black and long dresses allow this model to represent her inner fashionista and promote brands such as Mango.

The  television commercial starring Moss called ‘Spy Game' will also go live across 40 countries including the UK, France and Germany early March.
