Murad's gowns

Highly appreciated around the world, Murad's glamorous line is often seen on Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Christina Aguilera, Fergie, Eva Longoria and many other Hollywood stars and music divas. No wonder that everybody knocks at Murad's shop doors. His designs shape your body in such a way that you can reach perfection.

The 2011 Spring/Summer couture collection, "Hymne au desert" proved that pure beauty is not only a matter of good DNA, but also a matter of smart cuts and ultimate fabrics. Descending the stairs against a hall of the Ritz Hotel, Murad's models looked like timeless goddesses teleported right from Ancient Greece or Cleopatra's Egypt.

In the opening of the show, the fluid dresses made of spotlessly white innocent veils adorned with massive golden bangles and belts and, in particular, the luxuriant embroideries applied on expensive silk dazzled the ladies of the Lebanese elite witnessing the presentation from their first row seats. To the end, Zuhair Murad pumped up a few gowns in shades of turquoise and yellow, which his models were so gracefully fluttering that they instantly acquired a delicate sense of intangibility.

And this feeling was closely sustained by the mind-blowing height of the heels. Exposing an extremely sexy look, with only two laces and having small golden coins hanging on them, heralding, in vivid tones, at every step, the presence of their wearers, the shoes put me to some violent emotions, particularly when looking at the models ankles. But, hey, you know what they say: you can't have it all and besides, there's no beauty -let alone tallness - without paying their tribute.

Being a real delight for the publics eyes, the presentation appeared highly sumptuous, elegant, stylishly fashionable.
